Campus Safety and Security Resources

UNC Charlotte is committed to the safety and security

of students, faculty, and staff.  The Counseling Center, along with many other campus offices, will offer assistance, support, and appropriate referrals if individuals feel their safety is threatened.  Safety and security is a campus responsibility, and we encourage all members of the campus community should report suspicious behavior, threats, or concerns about individuals to appropriate campus officials.

Blue emergency boxes

on campus should be used to contact police when faced with a threatening situation while on campus. Call the UNC Charlotte Police to report any suspicious activity or criminal behaviors.

For concerns about individual behavior

and how to respond, you can contact the Counseling Center during office hours and consult with the counselor on call.   You may also call the Office of the Dean of Students (704-687-2376).   For after hours crises, contact Police and Public Safety (emergency number, including safety escorts: 704-687-2200; non-emergency 704-687-8300), who can help determine a proper response.
